Over the past few months, InspireAll has welcomed back the local community to leisure facilities after a difficult 12 months and are now looking forward to a busy summer.
Since the government announced their roadmap out of lockdown earlier this year, InspireAll has implemented a phased reopening of their facilities. As they reopened, each facility implemented several robust Covid safety measures, including one-way systems, social distancing, continuous cleaning regimes and queuing systems for popular activities. First to reopen in mid-April, with pre-bookable sessions, were the gyms and indoor swimming pools at the leisure centres. Children also returned to their swimming lessons after many months.
Throughout April and May, brand new timetables with outdoor classes were created at Bletchley, Bushey Grove and Furzefield Centre to enable class goers to enjoy their favourite workout in an outdoor session, including popular Bootcamp, Cycling and Circuit sessions. Plus, members also had access to a wide range of OnDemand classes via the InspireAll App to workouts anytime from home.
As we now enter the second stage of the roadmap, more activities can return to the leisure centres including a wide range of indoor classes, public swimming sessions for families and soft play sessions. The Spa at Bushey Grove and Furzefield are now open with a range of treatments and access to sessions in the Thermal Spa Experience.
InspireAll is excited to welcome back more of the community to our centres. Bletchley, Bushey Grove, Furzefield and The Venue Leisure Centres all plan to expand the activities on offer over the coming weeks.
As with the other leisure facilities, Wyllyotts Theatre and 96 Shenley Road have been made Covid secure with online booking, one-way systems, queuing systems for busy times and ongoing monitoring of numbers.
Whilst the library at 96 Shenley Road has been available for the local community, the latest changes have allowed the centre to reopen its doors with a full programme including exciting new classes such as Judo, Generation Plus Yoga, Hertsmere Dance Academy. From mid-June, Rock Choir will also return to the centre, offering audition free enrolment. The choir invites anyone to join in who loves to sing pop and contemporary songs with no requirement to read music or previous experience.
The Park Events team is also planning a programme of events in 2021 including Movies in the Park in July and Fun in the Park in August.
Wyllyotts Theatre also reopens its doors to welcome back the local community with a great range of Academy Award-winning films, including Nomadland and Minari. May half term will be a perfect time to visit with the family as they screen Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway. In June, the theatre will host its first live socially distanced show ‘Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote’, a unique and hilarious event featuring games, prizes, and audience participation. Those who enjoy a good sing-along the community choir return to Wyllyotts all thrilled to be back together in person after many months of singing together virtually.
InspireAll is delighted to welcome back so many of the local community to enjoy what they love doing. While some restrictions at the facilities may remain in place over the next few months, the teams continually review government guidance and work with industry experts to safely and securely bring back as many activities as possible.
