Leisure Centre developments provide fantastic new facilities for the whole community.
In the summer of 2018 InspireAll negotiated a loan from Hertsmere Borough Council of £5-million to invest in the council’s leisure facilities across the borough, alongside InspireAll’s regular capital investment programme. The aim of this investment is to modernise the main leisure centres at Bushey Grove, The Venue and Furzefield, so that they are fit for an ever increasing use and higher expectations of local residents.
The first stage of the building and refurbishment work has recently been completed and customers of both Furzefield Leisure Centre and Bushey Grove Leisure Centre have started a brand new year with the latest gym fitness equipment and brand new state-of-the-art group immersive cycling studio.
The gym extension at Bushey Grove has increased space to include a dedicated functional area and both gyms are now home to a range of modern gym equipment from Matrix and TechnoGym, with similar plans being considered for the same investment at The Venue in the summer of 2019.
New immersive cycling studios at Furzefield and Bushey Grove allow customers to take part in Stages Flight, a cycling class where individuals can experience an individual cycling journey within a group environment enabling full data and connected cycling experience in an immersed group studio setting.
Potters Bar’s Furzefield Centre, now has a purpose-built soft play and climbing area, with an integrated café and seating area. The new soft play over three tiers, baby, toddler and adventure zones, for little ones to enjoy and have fun. The new climbing area is suitable for children from four years and older and great for adults. Climbers take on the challenge of 17 different walls including a dice tower and giant staircase.
Bushey Grove Leisure Centre have a new crèche facility providing a fun, safe and social environment for children. The extended café area provides a relaxing environment for the whole family to relax enjoy as part of their visit.
The investment programme continues over the coming months, with new luxury Spa and treatment facilities replacing the old health suites at Furzefield and Bushey Grove. These new facilities will transport you to another world, allowing you to take time away from the stresses of modern day living. Thermal experiences will include an Aroma Steam Room, and Ice Chute and there will also be an excellent selection of treatments performed by experienced Spa Therapists, providing a destination for ultimate relaxation and wellbeing.
InspireAll understands that the demands from customers have moved on in the last 20 years and providing high-end changing facilities at the leisure centres is a ‘must have’ for users and so the second pahse of works will provide updated changing facilities along with improved reception areas, offering faster access and booking facilities. The whole improvement project is due to be completed by the summer of 2019.
